About
AboutBig Country Narcotics Anonymous
We are an area service body of Narcotics Anonymous, run by trusted servants from local groups. Our work is quiet — keep the meeting list current, keep the doors open, and make sure any addict who reaches out can find a meeting.
What we do
Big Country Narcotics Anonymous serves Narcotics Anonymous groups across the Big Country area of Texas. We are a service body of Narcotics Anonymous, run by trusted servants from local groups. Our work supports meetings, events, public information, and recovery resources — so that any addict who reaches out can find a meeting and the help of other recovering addicts.
We are not the program of recovery itself. The program lives in the rooms — in the meetings, the sponsorships, the literature, and the willingness of one addict to help another. The area exists to quietly support that work.
The cities we serve
Our groups meet in the towns listed below, along with surrounding Big Country communities. Meeting times and locations are kept current here on this site — if something changes at your home group, please let us know so the list stays accurate.
- Abilene, Texas
- Wichita Falls, Texas
- San Angelo, Texas
- Brownwood, Texas
- Sweetwater, Texas
- and surrounding Big Country communities
What we are not
Big Country Narcotics Anonymous is not a treatment center, hospital, or counseling service. We do not provide medical advice. If you are in crisis, please call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or go to your nearest emergency room. If you are looking for the help of other recovering addicts — that’s us. Come to a meeting.
About Narcotics Anonymous
Narcotics Anonymous is a nonprofit fellowship of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. There are no fees or dues — the only requirement for membership is the desire to stop using.
Anonymity
Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our traditions, ever reminding us to place principles before personalities.
It keeps us safe from public judgement and reminds us that principles matter more than personalities. Please respect the anonymity of any member you meet through this site or at a meeting — what we share, and who we see, stays among us.
